I am a senior leader in SME banking at a FTSE 100 bank, leading a London team that supports businesses to invest, innovate and grow.
I have served as a Conservative councillor for Lower Morden (2022–2026), winning a marginal seat from Labour by five votes; as the Conservative GLA candidate for Merton & Wandsworth (2024); and as the Conservative parliamentary candidate for Mitcham & Morden (2024).
I represent my employer in Government discussions on business and innovation with the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. I have also been appointed by the Conservative Policy Forum as a Member Expert on Science, Innovation and Technology and was nominated a CPF top policy adviser in 2024 for my submission on reforming the Apprenticeship Levy.
I also serve as a CWO Regional Chair and Ward Chair, giving me experience of leading and organising the voluntary Party at regional and local level.
I grew up in a single-parent, low-income household; my mother was an NHS worker. Good local education and community support helped me fulfil my potential, and affordable housing, through shared ownership, gave me the opportunity to take my first step onto the housing ladder. Earlier in life, I was a British junior badminton champion and reached the world’s top 100 in women’s singles. These experiences gave me a strong belief in opportunity, aspiration and helping people build a better future.
