Economic growth is essential to raising living standards, funding our public services and creating opportunity. Having spent nearly 20 years helping businesses access finance, I understand what enables them to invest, innovate and create jobs. Britain should be the best place in the world to start, grow and scale a business. That means lower and simpler taxes, encouraging investment, embracing innovation and AI, reducing unnecessary regulation and giving businesses the confidence to plan for the long term. Innovation will be central to Britain's future prosperity, and I believe Government should back the entrepreneurs and businesses whose success will drive growth across every sector of our economy.
